This page explains what information this website collects, why, and how to ask a question about it. It covers gregsover.com and nothing else.

What this site collects

Contact form. If you use the Contact page, we collect the email address and message you type in. It is emailed directly to the site owner and is not stored in any separate database or mailing list.

Mailing list. If you sign up for show and release updates, your email address is sent directly to our mailing-list provider, Mailchimp, and is not stored on this website’s own server. Mailchimp’s use of that information is covered by their own privacy policy: mailchimp.com/legal/privacy. Every email from that list includes an unsubscribe link.

Cookies. This site sets one cookie of its own — to remember whether you accepted or declined the cookie banner. If you accept, an analytics cookie may also be set so we can see, in aggregate, how the site is used; nothing beyond the consent cookie is set if you decline, and you can change your answer at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

Embedded content. Some pages embed content from Spotify (music players) and Bandsintown (tour dates). Those companies may set their own cookies or collect data when that embedded content loads, governed by their own privacy policies, independent of this site: Spotify and Bandsintown.

Server logs. Like virtually every website, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance — this is standard web server behavior, not something this site configures separately.

How we use it

To reply to enquiries sent through the Contact page, to send updates only to people who signed up for them, and — only with cookie consent — to understand how the site is used in aggregate. We do not sell or share this information with anyone beyond the services named above.

Your choices

To ask what information we have, request it be deleted, or ask a question about this policy, use the Contact page. To leave the mailing list, use the unsubscribe link in any email from it. To change your cookie choice, use “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
